CSCS Cards

Construction is ever expanding making it one of the largest industries in the UK, but also one of the most dangerous. Every month approximately 340 people around the country are injured on site, 6 of these turn out to be fatal. A Major Contractors Group recognised these risks and introduced The Construction Skills Certification Scheme card, in conjunction with the Government. It aims to ensure all construction workers have a recognised level of health and safety competence.

The scheme has been extremely successful, not only have 700, 000 construction workers gained their cards, but accident levels have also been cut but 22% in the last 5 years. The card is now an industry requirement, and with most major contractors, clients, local Councils and Housing Authorities demanding proof of competency before allowing workers onto site, it makes sense to let Forum Training take the hassle of the applying for the card away from you, and gain the qualification quickly and efficiently.

Outline of the day
In order to gain a CSCS card you will be asked to take a Health and Safety Test. It takes around 30-40 minutes to complete and is multiple choice. The test can be taken on easy to use touch screen computers. Once the test is complete Forum Training will send an application for to you to complete by attaching a passport size photo, sign, date and asking someone know to you at your place of work to counter-sign. Once you return the completed form to Forum Training you should receive your card within 28 working days.
