Risk Assesment

Workers in the construction industry are SIX times more likely to be killed at work than other workers. A US study showed that companies that tested workers and job applicants for drugs experienced a 51% reduction in injury rates within two years of implementing a drug testing programme. Often working away from home, construction workers are vulnerable to peer group pressure which may lead to the inappropriate use of drugs and alcohol.
