Construction Course Types
Confined Space (H&S)
In partnership with ESS Shorco this course is ideal for persons required to enter and work within a confined space.
Risk Management
This one day course is designated to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to carry out risk assessment/method statements and basic health and safety at work.
Scaffold Inspection (H&S)
This 1 day course aims to develop an understanding of scaffolding components, methods of construction and inspection procedures of basic access scaffolds to comply with current legislation and codes of practice. This course qualifies delegates to sign the scaffold inspection register.
Abrasive Wheels
This course will qualify delegates to select and mount the correct type of disc or wheel and details the health & safety requirements.
Cable Detection
A half day course providing instruction and practical training and information on the techniques for effective use of Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Genny locator.
Building Regulations Update
Guidelines on updated regulations which came into force on 1 April 2002 providing essential information that relates directly to all aspects of the construction process from design and estimate stage to project handover.
Levelling and Setting Out
This two day course will give participants an understanding of basic levelling and setting out for construction work. Time will be spent on the correct booking of results. The course is practical with a number of field exercises which build up to give the participants confidence in using the level in the work place, with an optional introductory day to using an Electromagnetic Distance Measurement (EDM).
