About This Site (Technical Information)
This site has been designed according to current web design standards, using a combination of Extensible Hypertext Mark-up Language (XHTML) to mark up the content for viewing in a web browser, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create the visual layout. All of the pages in this site conform to current design standards as set out by the World Wide Web Consortium, which allows us to display the icons below.

Designing a website in this fashion has several advantages, such as being able to view the content on a variety of media, being able to print out relevant content instead of the entire page, and to aid accesibility.
If you are viewing the plain text version of this website, then you may be using an older browser version that is unable to display the site using the CSS that defines the visual nature of this site (or you may have disabled viewing of CSS). Whilst this will not stop you from viewing all of the content available in this site, viewing this site as the design intended aids navigation and usability through a combination of visual consistency and colour usage.

Access Keys
This site also makes use of access keys for navigation purposes. Essentially, access keys are keyboard shortcuts that you can use to navigate the site. By holding down the ctrl key and then pressing the appropriate key on your keyboard, this will have the same effect as clicking a link on the website. Printing
For printing purposes, the pages on this site have been designed to use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to make sure that only the relevant information is printed when you send a page to your printer. This means that coloured headings, menus and repeated page items are not printed.
